On Saturday July 10th, 2021 Charity Donation foundation hosted a whole day visit to the elderly of the Bekaa hosting a lunch event for more than 200 persons at Dar Al Saada Zahle.
The event came within the context of supporting the elderly that are also affected by the multi-folded Lebanese crisis. With COVID 19 and increasing inflation rates, the elderly are left alone to fight their last battle.
The foundation’s outreach department had other ideas, where they planned a whole day visit to the elderly house while inviting different NGOs to the activity. The lunch was generous with its meat and chicken items that are now relatively unaccessible to the elderly houses due to their increasing prices.
The event was filled with positivity and joy especially with volunteers dancing with the elderly that did not experience human contact for more than 15 months.
It is necessary to understand that society cannot strive if one of its pillars is neglected, partnership and collaboration is the only solution, and Charity Donation is taking the lead.
